Little by little I learned to use a lighter and gentler touch when applying the brush. Most difficult was the “don’t muddy up the mix” by overblending. Same applies to ones life.

Ah, the feeling of how our creator must have felt when the original was given to mother nature for our pleasure, Mine here wasn’t done here in a creative instant, but it was lovingly done with the newly aquired wet on wet oil painting technique.

The wet on wet oil painting technique used here, allows completion in a few hours. Standard oil painting techniques could take weeks or months depending on the medium used. Still crude, but hey, I did it, and all by my self.

My efforts with wet on wet oil painting was a mild learning curve. Nothing earth shaking here, but an immense pride in even getting a scene you can see, and say “oh a candle stick holder and candle”.
